Welcome at the page for the reservists of 1 (GE/NL) Corps

Reservist soldiers contribute in numerous functions to the operational readiness of the 1 (GE/NL) Corps. They support us not only in the execution of the various tasks at the garrison but also during exercises at home and abroad and when the corps as a major formation is employed in the framework of the extended spectrum of tasks for the execution of crisis management and containment of conflicts. Their civilian qualifications, their professional expertise and their personal commitment are an integral element of our capability potential as basis for successful mission accomplishment. On this page you will find your points of contact at the 1 (GE/NL) Corps and links to the „reservist portals" which provides access to further useful information.

Reservistentag 2012

On Saturday 21 January, more than 70 reservists, ranging from non commissioned officers to Colonel, joined the German Reservist Info Day 2012 at the 1 (German/Netherlands) Corps.

The Deputy Commander of the 1(GE/NL) Corps Major General Werner Kullack was impressed about the “number of participants and their engagement”. Although the Bundeswehr is currently changing its structure the Corps relies on these men, who work as lawyers, businessmen and in other civilian professions.

For example: Jens Normen Hahne. He is a Subject Matter Expert on Humanitarian Civil Military Coordination with a huge range of experience from missions abroad. Currently he is very busy engaging on the African continent. In the last couple of years Mr. Hahne tried always to participate in exercises executed by 1 (GE/NL) Corps with a focus on a comprehensive environment. His participation in different roles in exercise preparation and execution was extremely useful for the development of the Comprehensive Approach. For Mr. Hahne the Reservist Info Day 2012 will be a special one. He was promoted from Major to Lieutenant Colonel. Another reserve officer was promoted as well: Christian Falkenberg is now in the rank of a Major.

With the view on the initiative of 1 (GE/NL) Corps to improve the Comprehensive Approach one of the briefing officers pointed out that in the future the civil qualification of the reservists might be more essential than it was already in the past.
They will be integrated within these activities and fill the slots when the HQ is on mission or performing exercises. The year 2012 offers the German reservists a lot of opportunities to participate in exercises like Peregrine Sword in Sepetember. "For me it is essential to have this men on board" stated General Kullack.
